Prof. Roger Trigg, Faculty of Theology, University of Oxford, director of the Centre for the Study of Religion in Public Life. From 2007-2011, he was leader of the Ian Ramsey Centre’s project for cognitive science of religion; one of the founders and president in the first three years of the British Society for the Philosophy of Religion; from 2008-2010 – president of the European Society for the Philosophy of Religion; participant in the Georgetown University’s Berkley Center project for religious freedom.

Prof. Trigg’s visit to St. Petersburg from October 3 to 5, 2013, launched the third session of the Religion, Science and Society project. He read two public lectures on the theme “Is religion natural?” at the Faculty of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University (October 3) and “Democracy and religion” at the Russian Christian Humanitarian Academy (October 5). He also conducted a study seminar with a project working group at St. Petersburg Orthodox Theological Academy (October 4).
