The primary theme of Metropolitan Kallistos’s theological works is the Orthodox Tradition. The archpastor expounds the richness of the theme primarily on the basis of works of holy fathers, such as Ss. Gregory of Nyssa, Mark the Ascetic, Maxim the Confessor, Isaac the Syrian, Simeon the New Theologian and Gregory Palamas.

St. Vladimir’s Seminary in New York is working on the 6-volume collected works by Metropolitan Kallistos.

The CMI granted Metropolitan Kallistos the degree of doctor honoris causa in 2014.
