The School of Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies Academic Council is a collegiate body participating in the governance of the school. The membership is determined by the Rector who is Chairman of the Council. The membership includes ex officio the head of the MA Course and heads of the Chairs.

According to the School’s Statute, the terms of reference of the Academic Council include matters pertaining to the organizational structure of the School, the definition of areas for educational and academic work, approval of curricula, as well as subjects of dissertations and academic advisers and publishing plans. The Chairs of the Schools are accountable to the Academic Council.

The work of the Academic Council is carried out not only during its sessions but also between them at working conferences and in correspondence among its members.

The Academic Council holds its meetings by the Rector’s decision in accordance with his work schedule.
